Professional Background:
What inspired you to become a property manager? Briefly describe your career path and how you got to your current role:
My inspiration came from my father, who was a highly respected commercial real estate agent in South Australia. Growing up around the industry, it felt like a natural progression to follow in his footsteps. I began my career in real estate with a strong interest in property and client service, gradually building my experience across leasing and property management roles. Over time, I developed a passion for helping clients maximise the value of their investments, which led me to my current role as a property manager.
Skills & Expertise:
What specific skills or certificates do you have relating to property management? What type of properties do you manage, and what sets you apart from other property managers?
I bring a unique blend of real-world experience and formal training to property management. Before transitioning into real estate, I built a strong foundation in the hospitality industry, where I developed exceptional customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills — qualities that are essential in managing client relationships and resolving tenant issues effectively.
In terms of qualifications, I hold the necessary real estate certifications required for property management in Victoria and continue to stay updated with industry regulations and best practices.
Personal Approach:
How would you describe your property management style? What do you enjoy most about being a property manager? Share a success story or a proud moment in your career:
My property management style is best described as bold, energetic, and unapologetically loud — so much so that not many people want to sit next to me in the office! But that energy translates into passion, urgency, and a proactive approach to everything I do.
Before entering real estate, I spent years in the hospitality industry, where I learned how to handle pressure, communicate effectively, and deliver exceptional service. I’ve carried those skills into property management, where I thrive on building strong relationships with both landlords and tenants.
Community & Engagement:
How do you build relationships with renters and property owners?
I build strong relationships through transparency, honesty, bold conversations, and a good dose of humour. I believe in being upfront and clear from the start — whether it's setting expectations, addressing concerns, or navigating challenges. People appreciate real talk, and I’m not afraid to have the tough conversations when needed.
At the same time, I bring a light-hearted, approachable energy to my work. Humour helps break down barriers and build trust, especially in high-pressure situations. Whether I’m working with a first-time renter or a seasoned investor, my goal is always the same: to create a professional relationship that feels genuine, respectful, and easy to navigate.
Fun Facts / Personal Interests:
What do you like to do outside of work? Hobbies or interests — something you’d like your clients to know about you:
Outside of work, I like to keep things interesting! I spend a lot of time with my French Bulldog, Burger — he’s got more personality than most people I know. I’m also into bike riding, painting, and lifting weights to stay active and clear my head.
Client Testimonials:
1. I usually don't write reviews, but I wanted to share my experience with Longview Real Estate.
I had arrived from Brisbane to live and work in Melbourne and didn’t know the city at all, but I needed to live in the area where Longview had a property. I was unsuccessful for the property, but Ben made contact to advise me he had other properties to show me. He has a way of making you feel comfortable and getting out of you exactly what you need — and he actually got me a better property. He genuinely cared about helping me find exactly what I wanted.
Thanks again, Ben, for the amazing professional work you deliver. I would definitely recommend anyone to use your services.
2. As a Renters Advocate, the relationships Your Home Hunter has with New Business Managers, Property Managers, and Leasing Consultants is hugely important to our business.
