Professional Background:
What inspired you to become a property manager? Briefly describe your career path and how you got to your current role:
I've always been passionate about customer service, having started my career in hairdressing and later working in the disability care sector. Those roles helped me develop strong communication and people skills, which naturally transitioned into property management. I was drawn to the industry because it allows me to support both tenants and landlords in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. I’m now working as a property manager and really enjoy the challenge of balancing client needs, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships.
Skills & Expertise:
What specific skills or certificates do you have relating to property management? What type of properties do you manage, and what sets you apart from other property managers?
I come from a strong customer service background, having worked in both hairdressing and the disability care sector. These roles helped me develop empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills, which have been invaluable in my transition to property management. Being a renter from a young age also gave me insight into the tenant experience, allowing me to approach my role with genuine understanding and care.
In my current position, I manage a mix of new builds, apartments, and large houses, ensuring smooth communication between tenants and landlords, timely maintenance, and attention to detail in every aspect of the job. What sets me apart is my people-first approach, ability to stay calm under pressure, and commitment to creating positive rental experiences for everyone involved.
Personal Approach:
How would you describe your property management style? What do you enjoy most about being a property manager? Share a success story or a proud moment in your career:
My property management style is proactive and detail-focused. I prioritize clear communication and building strong rapport with tenants and landlords to prevent issues before they arise.
What I enjoy most is resolving problems efficiently. A proud moment was managing a complex maintenance job under tight deadlines, where my attention to detail and persistence ensured a great outcome for everyone involved.
Community & Engagement:
How do you build relationships with renters and property owners?
I build relationships by taking the time to learn about renters and property owners individually, usually through friendly, open conversations on the phone. I’m always happy to help and make kindness a priority, which helps build trust and positive connections.
Fun Facts / Personal Interests:
What do you like to do outside of work? Hobbies or interests — something you’d like your clients to know about you:
Outside of work, I’m a proud young mum of two energetic boys, which keeps life busy and rewarding. I’m originally from South Africa and speak another language, which helps me connect with people from diverse backgrounds. I also love reading — it’s my way to unwind and keep learning.
