How long have you been in Real Estate?

I have been in real estate for four years, with experience in both Sales and Property Management.

 What aspect of Real Estate are you an expert in, or what aspect are you most proud of that you do?

My greatest attribute as a Property Manager would be always finding a positive solution to any problems faced by both tenants and Landlords. There is a solution to every problem and there is nothing greater then taking the stress away from my clients and solving concerns with a positive result.

What is the strangest/nicest/most interesting thing you have had to deal with, in your Real Estate career?

The strangest thing I have dealt with in the real estate industry was during my time in Sales. I received a call from an elderly lady who was interested in selling her property to move into a retirement village. She was very kind and talkative, and I found myself chatting to her for over three hours discussing all kind of different subjects, mostly related to her garden/flowers as well as her grandson who “looked just like me”. She showed me photos of her family and it turned out that I was actually good friends with her grandson and played basketball with him. Small world!

What is the most interesting non-Real Estate job you have ever had, and what about that job has helped you most in your current Real Estate role?

The most interesting job I have had was working in a primary school working closely with special needs children. Not only was this role very rewarding but it was also a great learning experience for seeing the effect you can have on another person by being genuinely interested in their wellbeing.

What is the one piece of advice you would give a new Landlord/Vendor/Tenant/Client? The greatest tip I could give a Landlord would be to build a good relationship with their Tenants. Having a Tenant that maintains your property and has your best interest in mind will not only give you piece of mind but will also save you dollars in the long run.
