How long have you been in Real Estate?

Seven years.

What aspect of Real Estate are you an expert in, or what aspect are you most proud of that you do?

I’m very organised and task orientated, I know how to prioritise one job from another and I won’t leave anything outstanding. I always give 110% to my clients to ensure the best outcome.

What is the strangest/nicest/most interesting thing you have had to deal with, in your Real Estate career?

We have had a few clients that have very high and exacting expectations regarding the way in which properties need to be kept. We are always trying to meet these standards and is always rewarding when you can help a Tenant from the start of their tenancy, to maintain the property to meet the Landlord’s specifications (where this is achievable). It is always a great feeling when you attend the first routine inspection and you can see the Tenants have listened and are taking great care to maintain the property in the right way. It is especially great when the Landlord attends too.

What is the most interesting non-Real Estate job you have ever had, and what about that job has helped you most in your current Real Estate role?

Previously I have worked within the hospitality industry, working in busy bars and pubs where I learnt how to manage stressful situations. I believe I have carried these skills through into my Real Estate career as a Property Manager.

What is the one piece of advice you would give a new Landlord/Vendor/Tenant/Client?

If a Landlord is looking at leasing their property in a timely manner, there are two things that can assist to ensure this happens. 1. Make sure the property presents well in terms of marketing and the general presentation of the property. 2. Make sure the property is not overpriced.
