How long have you been in Real Estate?
I've started in Real Estate in 2001, so I've been in the industry for 19 years.
What aspect of Real Estate are you an expert in, or what aspect are you most proud of that you do?
I'm an expert in property management, and I'm most proud of my ability to problem solve for landlord’s and making their lives easier.
What is the strangest/nicest/most interesting thing you have had to deal with, in your Real Estate career?
A landlord felt that displaying her exotic underwear around her property for OFI's would assist in the leasing (I had to arrive early to every open to hide the underwear and then stay later to put them all back where they were at the start so she wouldn’t realise!)
What is the most interesting non-Real Estate job you have ever had, and what about that job has helped you most in your current Real Estate role?
I've really only worked in realestate, but I did work at Bras ‘n’ Things. I was taught very quickly how to help people in an uncomfortable situation and how you can help them through it as quickly as possible. This has worked in helping clients who have a problem and need me to identify the solution quickly so that they can get on with living their lives in comfort.
That role taught me a lot, including that starting and running businesses is hard. Really hard, when you are swimming against the tide.
What is the one piece of advice you would give a new Landlord/Vendor/Tenant/Client?
Understand what you really want out of your investment, and then build your strategy using an expert team committed to achieving that outcome.
