How long have you been in Real Estate?
What aspect of Real Estate are you an expert in, or what aspect are you most proud of that you do?
As Property Manager and Leasing Consultant, I am not only helping our Property Managers to get the property leased quickly but also helping the Tenant get their dream home. I have helped many new immigrants from overseas get their first home in Australia. I am very proud of my customer service, patients and multi linguistic skills (English, Mandarin and Cantonese)
What is the strangest/nicest/most interesting thing you have had to deal with, in your Real Estate career?
There was a small maintenance job for a property I manage. The Landlord didn’t want to spend that much money to get Tradespeople to fix the issue (just drill a hole in the laundry sink for washing machine). However, the job needed to be done, otherwise the Tenant couldn’t use their washing machine. So, I just taught myself how to do the job, borrowed some tools from my friend, and did the job for the Landlord. In the end, both Landlord and Tenant were happy.
What is the most interesting non-Real Estate job you have ever had, and what about that job has helped you most in your current Real Estate role?
I have been a wedding photographer and have used my professional photography skills to take amazing property photos for our Landlords, and portrait photos for our team. I am also a qualified Horticulturist and have used that training to provide professional suggestions to Landlord for their garden, plant health and maintenance.
What is the one piece of advice you would give a new Landlord/Vendor/Tenant/Client?
Keep the property well maintained (don’t save money on necessary maintenance). Ensure the property is presented well when you put it on the market (my photos will make it even better)!
